DESCRIPTION

Objective:
Community development to become an independent group through the formation of environmental groups, to keep Javanese eagles and their habitats.

CHALLANGE:
The Javan Hawk-eagle species are threatened with extinction, now the number is only 300. Therefore, it needs support from all parties to be aware of the importance of preserving this Javanese eagle.

SOLUTION:
To educate the public in preserving Javanese eagles. PT Smelting and Filantra carried out the Environmental Training Program and the Formation of Community Protecting Nature and Nature Tour Guide “Behind the Earth” in the Kadudampit District Hall, Sukabumi Regency on Friday and Saturday 23-24 October 2020.

On the first day of the program, theory were delivered from the West Java BKSDA, TNGGP for PTN Region II Sukabumi, Kadudampit Police, PMI Sukabumi Regency, Indonesian Birds and the Indonesian Safari Park.

On the second day, the activity focused on training in developing tourist villages and tour guides, with speakers from the Bandung Regency Tourism Office and Mrs. Mina Marina Aprilia as a Tourism Activist and Descendant of MEG Bartels, the founder of the Javanese Eagle.

“Hopefully this program, including the” Balik Ka Bumi “program can be successful and can improve the welfare of the surrounding community.” said Mr. Irjuniawan P. Radjiman.
