PERTAMINA RU III PLAJU GUIDE FISHERMEN IN FISH FEED PRODUCTION

PARTNERS:
PERTAMINA

INDUSTRY:
State-owned oil and gas companies

OBJECTIVES:
So that later inhabitants around the hall can be made self-sufficient in reducing water hyacinth waste and reducing alley residents’ spending on fish feed.

CHALLENGE:
PT Pertamina RU III Plaju held the “Making Fish Feed from Water Hyacinth Raw Material” as a form of Pertamina’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) in Lorong Aman RT 14 RW 03, Talang Bubuk sub-district, Plaju sub-district.

SOLUTIONS:

Mr. Andri, a fisheries expert who has worked in the industry since 1985, specializing in consumable fish such as catfish, gourami, tilapia, and others, led this operation.

Mr. Andri has also guided and aided a number of fish farmers in Palembang with marketing, spawning, and other types of counseling.

Residents of the safe aisle are taught how to turn water hyacinth trash, which is generally thrown away, into fish food in this fish feed production activity.

So that future residents of the safe aisle can do it on their own to reduce water hyacinth waste and save money on fish feed.
