OBJECTIVES:
In order to care for disaster victims in Indonesia, PT Indosat Tbk helped to provide emergency assistance for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Ruang.

CHALLENGE:

The eruption of Mount Ruang had a tremendous impact, causing a lot of damage and psychological impact on local residents.

SOLUTION:

North Sulawesi. Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) distributed emergency disaster relief for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Ruang in Tagulandang District, Sitaro Regency, North Sulawesi on April 30, 2024.

The distribution of aid from IOH in collaboration with Filantra was held at the Lesah Rende Meeting Hall, handed over directly to Frengki Burila, Head of Pumpente Village and then the aid was distributed to the affected neighborhoods.

Various urgent needs were distributed to around 200 people, including clothing for adults and children, tarpaulins, masks, and medicines for Pumpente Village, Lesah Rende Village, and other affected villagers.

“On behalf of the people in Tagulandang, I would like to thank Indosat for helping us Tagulandang people who were affected by the eruption of Mount Ruang, the assistance from Indosat really helped us. Hopefully Indosat will be more victorious,” said Lala, a resident of Pumpente Village.

Public relations staff of Basarnas Manado, Nuriadin Gumeleng stated that the status of Mount Ruang is still in level IV or alert status.
