OBJECTIVES:

As an effort to increase public awareness of the environment, Indodax, Ayobantu.com and Filantra collaborated to hold a tree and river clean-up program entitled Indodax for the Country: Sustainable rivers, protected forests.

CHALLENGE:

This activity is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program related to environmental sustainability which was held in the Regol Square area, Bandung City on Sunday (03/09/2023).

By involving participants from various elements of society, starting from students, students, environmental service personnel, the Citarum Task Force and the Cikapundung river activist community to clean up rubbish and the river.

 

SOLUTIONS:

William Sutanto, CTO of Indodax said that this is a monthly CSR program from the company, they chose rivers because environmental issues are synonymous with lots of waste.

“This time we chose the river because this is a big issue, because the river is dirty, all the rubbish will end up in the sea. So today we are doing it here,” said William Sutanto.

This activity aims to enable companies to take part in preserving the environment, one of which is providing assistance with cleaning equipment, planting trees and cleaning up rubbish.

“We provide education to the community, clean the river and we also plant trees around the river,” he said.

Meanwhile, according to the CEO of Filantra, Asep Nurdin, his party admitted that they always support environmental-related programs such as those carried out today.

“Today’s activity is giving away 1000 trees to be planted in the Bandung City area. Hopefully this can be an inspiration for the community to reduce pollution,” said Asep Nurdin.

Protecting the environment is a shared responsibility, this was said by the Functional Environmental Extension Officer of the Bandung City Environmental Service, Dedy Darmawan.

“The most important waste problem is not only the government’s priority, but together we must also be responsible for environmental problems,” he concluded.

Ayobantu.com CEO, Agnes Yuliavitriani hopes that this program can be a positive and inspiring example for children, the younger generation and also local residents.

“Because the environment cannot speak, so we take real action to preserve the environment, continued Agnes.”

On the same occasion, Artist, Musician who is now an active environmental activist, Eddi Brokoli also shared his experiences regarding his concern and actions towards environmental sustainability.
