SOLUTIONS:

Realizing the best service for the community is a hope for every government. As the West Java Provincial government has done various innovations to provide the best for the community, one of which is the launching of the Elderly Islamic Boarding School program.

The launching of the Griya Pesantren Elderly Champion (Griya Salira) program was carried out on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the UPTD office of the Griya Lansia Social Service Center (PPSGL) Ciparay, Bandung Regency.

Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum explained that this elderly boarding school is one of the innovations of the West Java Provincial government in paying attention to the elderly in the West Java region and is proof that the West Java Regional Government also pays attention to the afterlife education of the elderly throughout West Java.

In line with that, Filantra also supports the program by providing Quran assistance to the elderly to facilitate access to their worship.

In the launching event, the deputy governor of West Java also had time to teach the Koran to the elderly there, hoping that the elderly could use the time to worship more, he said.

As many as 150 elderly people live in Griya Salira, these elderly are elderly who are neglected or have no relatives.

According to the Head of the West Java Provincial Social Service, Dodo Suhendar, this program aims to strengthen spiritual services for the elderly in West Java.

With this innovation, it is hoped that other governments can follow suit.
