SOLUTIONS:

In commemoration of International Disability Day, the West Java provincial government held a Disability Festival entitled Smiles for Disabilities in West Java for Indonesia.

The event was held at Gedung Sate, Bandung City This Wednesday, 14 November 2022 was attended by a number of foundations and communities with disabilities from various regions in West Java.

Filantra also supported by providing social assistance for persons with disabilities who were victims of the Cianjur earthquake. Filantra and Sajiwa handed over the assistance symbolically to the head of the Jaw Provincial Social Service a Barat, Dodo Suhendar.

This disability festival event also became the momentum for the coronation of the wife of the Governor of West Java, Atalia Praratya as the Foster Mother of Disabilities in West Java. The installation of the sash was carried out by the Presidential Special Staff, Angkie Yudistia.

The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, in his speech said that as a leader from the Mayor’s era, he had circulated an executive decree under the name EOI Equal Opportunity Employer, no company in West Java could refuse employees with disabilities as long as they are able to show the same performance as others.

“Then we also evaluate regional heads who technically ensure that all public facilities have adequate access for people with disabilities,” he said.
