OBJECTIVES:
In an effort to realize its commitment to environmental preservation, Astra Credit Companies (ACC) Surabaya held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program entitled Improving Environmental Quality by making 50 biopore infiltration holes.

CHALLENGE:
This program, which was collaborated with Filantra, was carried out on May 30 2023 in the Kendangsari Village, Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Surabaya.

SOLUTIONS:
This activity was attended directly by Kendangsari Urban Village Head, Wisnu Sakti Wibowo, Staff for Cleanliness and Community Empowerment at the Surabaya City Environment Service, Indah Noerhayati Dewi, ACC Surabaya 3 Branch Manager, Leon Mensana, Customer Retention & Service, Head Mariani, and AR Management Head Pugoh Lexon and the local community.

Biopores, also known as biopore infiltration holes, are vertical holes made in the ground to increase water infiltration. Biopori can function as a channel that allows rainwater or waste water to flow into the ground better.

“ACC is very concerned with environmental issues. This is the basis for us in supporting the improvement of environmental quality in Surabaya in a sustainable manner with CSR activities for making biopores,” said Leon Mensana, Branch Manager of ACC Surabaya 3.

Through this program, ACC Surabaya 3 confirms its commitment to maintaining environmental sustainability and playing an active role in sustainable development in Surabaya. By collaborating with Filantra as a CSR consultant and involving the local community, ACC Surabaya hopes to create positive changes and provide long-term benefits for the environment and the community in the Kendangsari Village.
