According to BPS 2024 data, there are around 4 million orphans in Indonesia, the majority of whom live below the poverty line.

SOLUTIONS:

JAKARTA – As a form of its commitment to the country, PT Pertamina International Shipping again held the Ocean LiteraSea Ramadhan program in collaboration with Filantra at the Putra Nusa Foundation, Central Jakarta, on Friday, March 22, 2024.

This program activity is part of the BerSEAnergi untuk Laut activity which is carried out with the aim of introducing and increasing the love of school-age children at the Orphanage for the marine ecosystem.

The Ocean LiteraSea program was attended by Aryomekka Firdaus as PIS Corporate Secretary, Dr. Diyon as PIS HSSE, 30 PIS employees, Nita as a representative of Putra Nusa Orphanage, and the orphanage children who will participate in a series of Ocean LiteraSea activities.

A total of 57 children received education about marine ecosystems and mural painting by PIS Employees and continued with health education about Personal Hygiene guided by Dr. Diyon.

The children were quite enthusiastic and responsive in participating in the series of activities, especially during the waste sorting games as part of environmental education and Ramadan games with PIS Employee Volunteering.

PIS Corporate Secretary Muh. Aryomekka Firdaus continues to encourage the children to participate in the activities.
