IN JAKARTA, PT PPI HOLDS A HEALTHY ALERT TO CARE FOR CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY

CHALLENGE:
The elderly and toddlers’ health in Semper Timur Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, still needs to be addressed.

SOLUTIONS:
On Thursday (28/10/2021), PT Developer Pelabuhan Indonesia (PPI) expresses its concern for public health by holding a PPI Health Alert program for Toddlers and Elderly Care at the Kuntum Mekar 7 Posyandu, Semper Timur Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta.

As many as 65 senior people and 40 toddlers were able to benefit from this initiative. Mr. M. Hasan, VP of Corporate Secretary, and Mr. M. Yanto, Chairman of RT 09 RW 011 Semper Timur Cilincing, North Jakarta, were among the PPI representatives present.

This activity runs from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m. and includes virtual health counseling activities connected to Supplementary Feeding (PMT) conducted by Afdina UGM Medical Student, who is one of the PPI scholarship recipients, as well as Home Visit activities to toddler and senior homes.

Measurement of weight, blood pressure, metabolic assessments, and health checks were all part of the Home Visit activity. The doctor will prescribe medicine, multivitamins, and masks if the elderly have symptoms related to blood sugar, uric acid, or cholesterol. Toddlers, on the other hand, will be given PMT 1, vitamins, and masks after a health check.

The Cadres of RT 09 RW 011 expressed their gratitude for PT PPI’s assistance in alleviating the health concerns of the elderly and toddlers at the Kuntum Mekar 7 Posyandu.
