OBJECTIVE:
Supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to be able to rise and be empowered in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic by increasing the knowledge of MSME fostered partners. This includes knowledge of financial records and the use of social media as a means of promotion to increase income.
CHALLENGE:
There are still many people who are poorly versed in finance and struggle in the realm of business, whilst also lacking simple branding knowledge. The challenge becomes clear, to help the branding for the businesses people are running, simultaneously teaching them how to offer products through social media.
SOLUTION:
PT PELNI (Persero) continues to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) players to rise and be empowered in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company’s concern for MSMEs, PT PELNI (Persero) resulted in the TJSL (Environmental Social Responsibility) program, of which was held an MSME Development Program in the form of Training and Mentoring which has been implemented in various regions. This year, for partners in the Sumedang area, it will be held in Bandung.
The purpose of this training is to help teach MSME fostered partners the ways of financial records, social media, and promotion ; all of which help to increase income.
The material presented at this event all have to do with managing finances, managing businesses, simple branding, and product promotion through social media.
This event was held for 2 days from Thursday to Friday, September 9-10, 2021 at the Golden Flower Hotel, Bandung for 20 Cibugel Business Partners PT PELNI (Persero). It was a collaborated effort with Filantra as the executor of the training.
Septiani Khadijah Talib as Plt. The PKBL Manager of PT PELNI (Persero) stated that this event was intended to motivate and improve the ability of MSME actors assisted by PT PELNI (Persero) to continue to be motivated in running their businessin the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due to the fact that many MSME actors were affected, and it is hoped that this training can provide enough training to be implemented in the businesses that are being run by the participants.
This program is also supported by assistance for three months for participants to ensure that MSME actors can implement the knowledge they have gained.
