OBJECTIVES:
Borobudur Temple as an Indonesian Cultural Conservation is one of the nation’s assets that has been designated as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO which is very well known in foreign countries. Its existence as a historical relic has great potential in the field of tourism, especially the development of art which is growing rapidly over time.
CHALLENGE:
One of the forms of commitment in preserving the world’s cultural heritage is through art activities that accommodate artists in the Borobudur area to remain productive in channeling their creativity.
SOLUTIONS:
As a form of support and concern, the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) provided assistance with a program entitled “LPS Cares for the Service to the Country for the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park and Art Studio”.
The donation was carried out on Sunday, June 19, 2022 and was handed over directly by Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners to AY Suhartanto as Corporate Secretary of PT. Borobudur Temple Tourism Park, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (Persero) who was accompanied by Wiwit Kasiyati as Head of the Borobudur Conservation Center and Subiyanto Subiyanto Head of Borobudur Temple at the Awadana Manohara Borobudur Study Center Pendopo.
The assistance provided was in the form of art equipment such as gamelan musical instruments, dance costumes and character makeup which were given directly to various art studios around Borobudur Temple.
In addition to the delivery of art equipment aid, LPS Peduli Bakti Bagi Negeri also fosters the artistic talents of children in the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park and the assistance will run for 6 months starting from August to December 2022.
This mentoring program is expected to improve the community’s economy and can color and support tourism destinations at the Borobudur Temple Tourism Park after the Covid-19 pandemic.
