FILANTRA X LAUNCHGOOD FACILITATION OF THE VIEW AT THE MENTARI HEART FOUNDATION THROUGH AL QURAN BRAILLE
PARTNERS:
Launchgood.com
INDUSTRY:
Crowdfunding
OBJECTIVES:
Filantra and Launchgood are a bridge for the visually impaired to have easy access to braille Al-Quran facilities.
CHALLENGE:
People with visual disabilities have the same rights to be able to access information and other public facilities and infrastructure.
Limitations in the sense of sight for people with visual disabilities must be supported by facilitating access, one of which is through braille.
Braille letters are an easy method for the visually impaired to receive information. The existence of braille letters plays an important role in making it easier for them to know what to read.
SOLUTIONS:
Sunday, November 27 2022 Filantra distributed braille Al Quran assistance which was distributed directly to 70 blind persons with disabilities at the Mentari Hati Foundation, Bogor City.
Apart from that, Filantra also distributed basic food assistance and cash assistance.
The head of the Mentari Hati Foundation, Rani Noviyanti, was greatly helped by the assistance given to her blind friends.
“I would like to thank Filantra and Launchgood for helping blind friends in Mentari Hati for the distribution of Braille Al-Quran. I, as chairman of the Mentari Hati Foundation and also representing blind friends in Bogor City, have been greatly assisted by the help of Braille Al-Quran and also assistance others. This assistance has greatly facilitated us in accessing the Koran,” said Rani Novianti.
Rani, who is also a blind person, said that being able to read the Braille Koran takes quite a long time, especially if you study at an adult age.
Since the establishment of the Mentari Hati Foundation seven years ago, Rani has not given up on giving support and also teaching blind people every Friday so they can read the Braille Koran.
Rani’s existence is one that is sought after, because the number of Braille Al-Quran teachers is still relatively small, while the number of people with visual impairments is quite large.
Every Friday, Rani always routinely teaches these netra friends. They came from various areas in Bogor. Even though there is no payment, Rani, who has been blind since she was an adult, precisely after giving birth to her first child, only hopes that her presence as a blind person is not to be pitied, but that they can also be empowered and benefit many people.
