OBJECTIVES:
Filantra together with Ayobantu.com and Hadi Tombro are collaborating together to present Smart Houses as a solution to educational problems there.

CHALLENGE:

Education is very crucial for all people who aim to educate and develop their potential and have a big impact on future development.

The rapid development of education in Indonesia has not yet been implemented in several regions. For example, Papua, the province which is nicknamed “Earth of Paradise” which is rich in natural resources, is still struggling with the deplorable condition of the world of education.

SOLUTIONS:

This Smart House is a program to provide learning support facilities accompanied by regular coaching and tutoring activities for children and/or the general public. The activities include reading training, tutoring, parenting classes, home visits, equalization assistance.

This is the second time Filantra is presenting the Smart House program in Jayapura. This time the Smart House program is present at Primary School Pantai Enggros Inpres, Pantai Enggros Street, Asano Village, Abepura District, Jayapura City, Papua.

Since launching last November, there have been around 20 children who have participated in this program. Their enthusiasm is very visible by always being present in the tutoring schedule. They are also facilitated with learning support such as writing tools so that they are even more enthusiastic about learning.

“Hopefully with the implementation of the Smart House program it can increase public awareness regarding the importance of children’s education, support facilities and infrastructure for community informal education activities, and support capacity building for illiteracy and school dropouts through informal education.” said Asep Nurdin, CEO of Filantra.
