OBJECTIVES:
Improving the health of Indonesians, particularly children under the age of five, is a top priority for 100 Priority Posyandu.
CHALLENGE:
According to the 2018 Global Nutrition Report, there were 22.2 percent stunted toddlers, 7.5 percent lean toddlers, and 5.6 obese toddlers around the world. While the 2018 Basic Health Research found that 30.8 percent of under-fives in Indonesia were stunted, which began with weight loss in toddlers, Stunting is a long-term nutritional condition caused by a lack of nutrients. In 2018, Indonesia had 10.2% underweight toddlers and 8% obese toddlers, according to data from the Basic Health Research Institute.
SOLUTIONS:
PT Astra International Tbk held Assistance to 100 Priority Posyandu online on Thursday (28/10/2021) to assist the government in enhancing the quality of health in Indonesia, particularly for children under the age of five. Due of the Covid-19 epidemic, this posyandu support is provided via the internet.
Mrs. Lastdes Cristiany Friday, S.Gz, MPH, a UGM Lecturer and Nutritionist with the title “Processing delicious and healthy Complementary Food Menus,” provided immediate help (PMT).
Mothers, as representatives of each posyandu, were quite passionate in listening to the content presented and Astra showed their thanks in particular by awarding appealing door prizes to five lucky winners.
“Alhamdulillah, the topic is excellent; the PMT issue is particularly anticipated.” His knowledge can be put to good use in posyandu.” One of the posyandu cadres, Ruri Hermawati, stated.
