OBJECTIVES:
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) together with Filantra responded quickly to the earthquake that hit Papua by sending aid in the form of fast food, mineral water and Indosat and Three SP cards which were distributed to several points in Tanjung Ria Village and Bayangkara Village, Saturday (11/2 /2023).
CHALLENGE:
An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.4 shook Jayapura City, Papua on Thursday (9/2/2023) resulting in a number of buildings being damaged and casualties.
Based on data collected by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) until Monday (13/2/2023), 2,148 people were displaced after the earthquake.

Aftershocks are still happening to this day, with the help of the card, IOH ensures that the IOH network is in normal condition so that people can still communicate and be connected to one another.
Based on the BMKG climate view, throughout 2023 there is the potential for climate disturbance from the Pacific Ocean, namely ENSO. For this reason, the community must remain vigilant and be prepared for the threat of hydrometeorological hazards, which can lead to disaster.
