OBJECTIVES:

The limited number of information service providers that reach rural areas raises the awareness of one of the residents in Cipondok Village, Kuningan Regency to establish a community reading garden.

Through the TJSL Literacy Village program, PT PLN West Java Distribution Parent Unit entitled “Changing the Future with Literacy” provided assistance in the field of education to the Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria.

CHALLENGE:
Community reading park is one of the educational services that can be utilized by the community and can be used as the right place of existence to stimulate public literacy awareness, especially in encouraging reading interest. Its existence needs support from various parties in order to improve the quality of education.

SOLUTIONS:

The launching of the Kampung Literasi Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria Program was held on Thursday, August 25, 2022. The activity was carried out at the Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria in Village 1 Cipondok Village, Cibingbin District, Kuningan Regency, West Java.

The provision of assistance was attended directly by the community and several related parties including Mr. Asep Priatna as Assistant Manager of CSR TJSL PLN UID West Java, Mrs. Nurmalitasari as Manager of Finance and General Affairs of PLN UP3 Cirebon, Mr. Imam Muhammad Agung Fauzi as Chair of the Kuningan TBM Forum, Mrs. Dra . Hj. Imas Minarsih as Head of Cibingbin Sub-district, Mr. Rudianto as Head of Cipondok Village, Mr. Wahyat as Head of Dusun 1 Cipondok, Mrs. Mayasyaroh as Head of Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria, Mr. Rahmat Kusnawan as Project Implementator of the Filantra Dept. and Principals of Kindergartens, Elementary and Middle Schools around Cipondok Village.

The assistance provided was in the form of facilities and infrastructure to support the activities of the Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria.

Manager of Finance and General Affairs of PLN UP3 Cirebon, Mrs. Nurmalitasari hopes that the literacy village program from TJSL PLN UID West Java can benefit the community in Cipondok Village so that it can improve the quality of Community Resources and children.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the Kuningan TBM Forum, Mr. Imam Muhammad Agung Fauzi, expressed his hope that with the help of more supporting facilities and infrastructure, Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria could again expand its wings to continue to be consistent in increasing the literacy index of the community.

With the literacy village program, the Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria can encourage people to get interested in reading activities and motivate people in the world of literacy, this opportunity is not only for children but is also open to all ages.

Hopefully the kindness of Filantra and PLN will add new enthusiasm for me to develop Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria so that its benefits can be wider, not only for Cipondok village but also for other communities, “said Mrs. Mayasyaroh as Chair of Rumah Baca Cerdas Ceria.
